PART 1

Prepare the hosting

  1. 01

    Download the package

Sign in at portal.gsmgrow.com, open your license and download the latest zip. Keep the license key ready for the installer.

  2. 02

    Upload and extract

Upload the zip to your hosting and extract it. Every folder must be present, including public, storage, vendor and bootstrap.

  3. 03

    Point the domain at public

Set the document root of the domain to the public folder inside the package, not the folder above it. In cPanel or hPanel this is under Domains → Document root.

  4. 04

    Make two folders writable

Give the web server write access to storage and bootstrap/cache (775 on most hosts). Use File Manager → Change Permissions if you have no SSH.

  5. 05

    Create an empty database

Create a MySQL or MariaDB database and a user with full access to it. Note the host, database name, username and password.

$ chmod -R 775 storage bootstrap/cache

PART 2

Run the web installer

Open https://your-domain.com/install. Visiting the domain also takes you there until the store is installed.

  1. 01

    Welcome

A server checklist: PHP version, extensions and writable folders. Fix any failed item in your hosting panel and reload.

  2. 02

    License

Paste your license key and the domain customers will use, without https://. Install continues once the license is activated.

  3. 03

    Database

Enter host, port (3306), database name, username and password. On shared hosting the host is usually localhost.

  4. 04

    Application

Set the store name and colour, choose whether to load demo products and banners, and create the admin account.

  5. 05

    Crons

Choose your hosting and copy the cron command, or use a free cron-job.org account. You can also set this up later.

  6. 06

    Done

The installer writes the configuration, creates the tables and locks itself. Open the admin panel at /admin.

Don't skip the scheduler for long. Without it, catalog sync, supplier order checks, automatic updates and backups don't run.

If something goes wrong

ProblemWhat to check
500 error or blank pagePermissions on storage and bootstrap/cache, then storage/logs for the error
